Matthew Grant has been appointed as National Class Coach to the 29er Class in India. Matthew, a Director of international engineering consultancy Buro Happold, based in Pune, accepted the position following his help with the inaugural class training event at Chennai in September.

Yesterday I experienced what it meant to be a part of a group of excited youngsters that was enjoying the fun of learning a new adrenaline boat. Oh, the new 29er is all that and more, if you were to see the tired grin of the youngsters last evening or watch their apprehensive and tense smiles before the session. Three boats had been rigged up and were pressed into service for the camp.
